Snowy February days gets me thinking that I really need to update my Blog. Being consistent is not working for me, so I will just have to jump in.
focus on knitting
I really need to take some classes to be able to knit items other than afghans and scarves! But until that happens I’m going to keep on making them. For Christmas, I made my son in law an afghan and he loved it!
I really like using the big needles and double strands, it makes a comfy heavy blanket. Since my family is on the tall side I have adjusted the width and length so it will cover toes and shoulders.
Blissful is the pattern name in The Big Book of Quick Knit Afghans. I work mostly in the evenings while watching TV. It’s great, especially when we watch shows that are tense and all I have to do is look at my knitting and continue on! No more leaving the room, just concentrate on counting stitches and if I missed something we can always back the TV up. That works perfect on football and basketball games!
special pictures
My kids had some pictures taken recently and included the afghan! Such fun pictures, I just had to add them! Photo credit goes to jessicasarahphotography.com
We have so much snow, it looks like knitting and sewing projects will be keeping me busy for a while yet!
Until the next time….
Now this is the way to make the best of the snowy weather! Beautiful, beautiful!!😊❤️
Thank you!
