A couple of years ago, my friend Steve asked me to make him a banner that portrayed Christ surrounding and giving us the strength to live day by day with Him. I thought and prayed about it for quite some time and could see in my mind what it was to be , but didn’t have the ability to draw it out and knew I needed some help. So I asked an artist friend, Robin, to help me out. She drew out the picture and then I made it into this quilt.
Steve’s Banner
I am continually learning to grasp the strength that Philippians 4:13 describes. “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” I am learning that this strength has a lot to do with the contentment I have when I continually walk with Christ and know that I can cope with anything that comes my way.
My Flowers are blooming! Maybe one of you might know the name of this pretty little one. I am no expert, I just know what I like and if it can grow in our region I will plant it! Enjoy!
Easter Day is going to be full with church, preparing Easter dinner and then sharing it with family and friends. Hopefully the sun will shine and make the day even better! My tulips are not blooming yet, so I bought some to enjoy. Here is a picture with a lonely egg!
I love this Hymn, especially Easter morning!
He Lives
I serve a risen Savior; He’s in the world today.
I know that He is living, whatever men may say.
I see His hand of mercy; I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him He’s always near.
He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives! He lives! Salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives. He lives within my heart.
In all the world around me I see His loving care,
And though my heart grows weary I never will despair.
I know that He is leading, thro’ all the stormy blast;
The day of His appearing will come at last.
He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives! He lives! Salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives. He lives within my heart.
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian! Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ, the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find,
None other is so loving, so good and kind.
He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives! He lives! Salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives. He lives within my heart.
